We Support Breastfeeding - Before,During, and After
Our staff understands the positive impact that breastfeeding has on infant bonding, as well as its proven nutritional value for babies. That's why we've designed a program and trained our staff at all levels to assist those of you who have chosen breastfeeding - before your baby is born, during hospitalization,
and after you go home.

In-hospital Breastfeeding Support
Our Lactation Consultants and Educators are available to assist you while you are hospitalized.
Walk-in Breastfeeding Clinic
We offer a walk-in breastfeeding clinic that is open four days each week to provide assistance and support to breastfeeding mothers in a group setting. The clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., and is closed on Wednesdays. The clinic is located at our Family Care Center, 1125 Arrow Highway in Upland, directly across from San Antonio Community Hospital. Private consultations are available by appointment.
We have found that the majority of the mothers who visit our Family Care Center have continued to breastfeed. We collect data to measure success and to help us respond to the needs of the community. No fees are charged for the initial visit for patients who deliver at SACH. A nominal fee is charged for subsequent follow-up visits. Families who deliver elsewhere will be charged a nominal fee upon your first visit and with any subsequent follow-up visits.
