A Cancer Registry is maintained to provide continuity of care for patients with cancer. In addition to managing a comprehensive database and follow-up system, the Registry conducts survival studies, quality improvement review, and other cancer-related analyses.

The Cancer Registrar monitors patients due for yearly check-ups and notifies their physicians to encourage systematic follow-up. The Registrar also maintains communication with patients who have relocated or lost physician contact. The statistical data collected is reported to the Regional Registry and the National Cancer Data Base. None of the data submitted contains information that could identify individual patients. The analysis of this data assists with funding and support for new and improved cancer treatments. Patients have an increased chance for early detection of new or recurrent tumors through the Registry's lifetime follow-up service.

You may contact our Cancer Registrar weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at (909) 920-4992. Click here for additional information about Cancer Care.
