
The Information Services Department manages the Hospital's complex
system of computers, networks, and telephone technology, giving our
staff the tools they need to provide excellent healthcare services.
Our team of information technology professionals operates "behind
the scenes" to maintain a state-of-the-art network that supports
current and future technology solutions. In addition to responding to
the needs of individuals, departments, and system-wide programs around
the clock, Information Services ensures that the Hospital is in
compliance
with a multitude of ever-changing regulatory requirements.
Hospital information technology requirements range from individual
departmental networks to complex multi-departmental applications. Our
highly skilled group of analysts and programmers integrate sophisticated
information systems throughout the Hospital to facilitate effective
communication across our internal computer network, as well as with
our business partners. They ensure that the data is accurate, secure
from unauthorized access, yet readily available to the appropriate healthcare
professionals. Our staff is capable of implementing and managing leading-edge
information technology, such as voice recognition dictation and a filmless
radiology storage, retrieval, and display system that allows physicians
to access digital images from multiple locations within the Hospital,
as well as in their own offices.
